Injectables & Contour

Threads, collagen stimulators and hyaluronic acid — three different ways of restoring structure, with very different timelines.

Medically reviewed by Dr. Shin Dong-ha, Medical Director, MILI Clinic Dosan · Last reviewed July 2026

Injectable treatment divides cleanly by what it actually does: reposition, stimulate, or fill.

Threads reposition. Absorbable sutures with bidirectional cones grip tissue and move it along a chosen vector, then dissolve while collagen forms along the thread path. They suit descent that energy-based lifting alone cannot pull far enough.

Stimulators — Sculptra and Juvelook — do not fill. They prompt your own collagen response over six to twelve weeks, which is why the change is gradual and structural rather than immediate.

Hyaluronic acid filler fills, immediately and reversibly. Where projection or volume is specifically required — lips, chin, temples — it remains the precise instrument, and hyaluronidase makes it adjustable in a way the others are not.

These are combined more often than chosen against each other. A jawline may need a thread for the vector and a stimulator for the tissue quality behind it.
